How we met
I got an e-mail from a shelter in Mo. about a black cocker spaniel who was 8-10 months old. I was on a cruise ship at that time, and when I got home I called them. They told me to get there Saturday as another lady had looked at her.
My other Cocker, Annabelle, and I went up there and Melody was anti-social, under-weight and would not have eye contact. I could not leave her there, and home we came. After good food and lots of love she is the sweetest dog I have ever had, she's beautiful and the perfect lap dog. We love her very much.

How long we have been together
3 years 7 months. My other cocker Annabelle I have had since she was 12 weeks old she is very beautiful brown and white with freckles. She too came from Mo. but from a very good kennel. I should say she was born with a sliver bone in her mouth.
Advice
- Shelter dogs make very good pets
Any behaviors that needed addressing post-adoption?
Fighting with Annabelle but it stopped quickly.
What are some of your pet's funny antics?
she loves to tear up paper and run around the house after her sister.
