A Day in the life...

Veterinary Seminar & Event Coordinator
by Tara Schwenker

I would like to introduce myself. I am a Events Planner with over 7 years of experience, 3 of those working for the largest medical laser manufacturer in the world. We were the founders of the Accuvet Laser. Due to a merger I have been working as a consultant. I am still involved with animal behaviorism as well as the current veterinary pharmaceutical industry.

My passion is with animals and their health and safety. I have worked doing trade shows and educational events that have focused on CEU's for vets and live patient procedures.

Just a synopsis of the services that I offer:

  • Time Line for sales and marketing department

Sales Meetings/Client Appreciation Events (PR):

  • Travel Arrangements
  • A/V (Includes Satellite Conferencing)
  • Printing Marketing/Promo materials

Fund Raisers/Community Involvement Projects (PR):

  • Marketing (Newspaper Ads, Local Coverage, TV Special Interest Coverage
  • Site Planning
  • Town Permits (Legal)
  • Catering or Entertainment
  • Premiums (Shirts/Balloons/Key Chains) or more extravagant, what ever your desired outcome.

I also handle smaller scale elements, such as coordinating an evening in New York or a night in the Presidents Club at the Meadowlands Race Track for as small a group as four, or elements mentioned above for larger group.

I am a strong believer in working hand in hand with the sales/marketing/HR departments to ensure that the event is exactly what you are looking for. By this I will keep my in house client in the know at any given time, I do not believe in surprises. This can be done on a weekly or bi-weekly update. Via face to face meeting, e-mail, fax, teleconference, or any or all combined.

Cooperation from in house staff and a feeling of ownership from the corporation are a key factor many coordinators overlook. I would like to meet with you to discuss your upcoming meetings and discuss how I can be of service to you.

Once again, thank you for you time for I know how valuable it is.

Sincerely,
Tara Schwenker
