NEWSLETTER SPOTLIGHT - PRE-VET FORUM IS UP!

The new Pre-Vet forum is up. This is the place for anyone
considering a career in veterinary medicine, those applying to
school, and those currently in vet or tech school!

I think that covers everybody. ;) Of course, everyone
is invited to stop by to offer support and advice to
those considering veterinary medicine as a career.

FROM THE FORUM - SNAKE BITE IN DOG

"I have a 2 year old St. Bernard who was bitten by a
black snake on the side of his neck a couple of days
ago. Now he has a HUGE lump, the size of a grapefruit
where he was bitten. It doesn't seem to bother him.
I have felt around on it and it doesn't seem to hurt
him. Will this lump go away on its own since the snake
was not poisonous?" ROBIN1963

FROM THE FORUM - PARVO CONFUSION

"I need some clarification. I am getting conflicting
information from 2 different vets. One says parvo can
last in the environment for up to 2 years, the other
that it can live for only 1-3 months. I've searched
online and also found conflicting reports." CRABBYELF

FROM THE FORUM - SHOULD SPAYS STAY OVERNIGHT??

"I'm just wondering about everyone's opinion on this subject:
Do you think that cats or dogs that are spayed should be
hospitalized overnight or sent home the same day? And why?"
