For a Chocolate Labrador named Molly, what goes around comes around. After years of training and doing search-and-rescue work assisting humans, five-year old Molly was facing a battle to live and needed help. Owners Allen and Alicia Brown initially noticed a shortness of breath and lethargy in the usually energetic Molly. It was eventually determined to be a complete electrical blockage of the heart. Veterinary surgeons at the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine installed a pacemaker on May 22nd, thanks in large part to a donation of $2000 from an anonymous donor and the pacemaker donation by Medtronic Inc. After a few weeks of rest, Molly should be healthy and back on the job. Go Molly!
