Cushing's Disease - What If Medication Is Stopped?

Wednesday December 8, 2004
DUSTY6 asks: "My dog has Cushing's Disease and has been taking a medication called Lysodren. The medication has been increased two times so far and the only thing that is happening is his skin has become dark and dry. He is now showing signs of lessening in his motor skills and he is very sensitive to touch. I would change vets if I could afford to. Since October, I have spent close to $800 on my baby. I believe he needs to be taken off the medication. My vet wants to keep him on the medication. What will happen if I take him of the medication and let nature take it's course?"
