Feline Radiation Treatment

Wednesday July 14, 2004
CALAMINTHA asks: "My 17 year old cat has nasal lymphoma. The oncologist told us that radiation is the preferred treatment for this cancer. This treatment involves 3 treatments a week for five weeks. Some of the side effects sound pretty dire. I expressed some doubts about putting him through all this but they assured me that they always have the quality of life of the pet as their top priority and that they have a good chance of curing the cancer. Anybody have any experience with radiation treatments that they would be willing to share? I don't want to lose him but I don't want to put him through a lot of suffering either."
