Parvo – A Dangerous Canine Virus

Guest author Shirley Greene offers this excellent article on Canine Parvovirus (CPV), a potentially fatal disease in dogs. I remember when Parvo first "erupted" in 1978. Dogs of all ages died, as this was a new virus on the scene and no one was immunized. Now, thanks to vaccinations, most dogs are protected. Puppies prior to vaccinations are the biggest risk group.
