My tip for keeping pets safe
I learned the hard way to never ever forget to put all the plastic bags away after use....
How/why I learned this tip
Pokey my smallest cat loves to chew on plastic. One evening, I wasn't quite fast enough and Pokey had her head in a bag and I came around the corner; now I have to fill in here that Pokey was rescued as a feral kitten so she is still, even now ten years later, a touch skittish...so I came around the corner, her head came up in the hole of the shopping bag handle and off she went with the plastic bag trailing behind her and me trailing after her and the plastic bag. Needless to say she thought the hounds of hell were after her. She finally came to a stop in her favorite closet and I was able to get the urine soaked bag off. Now all plastic is put away immediately!!
Tips and Tricks
- I learned to remember to survey my environment and check out what I think my cats can get into. Pokey is the least adventurous of my three cats and yet she is the one that managed to escape outside and it was only through good luck that I managed to entice her back and so I have to remember that all of my cats are capable of running into trouble.
