Tell Us About Your Senior Pet

We bought Stevie and his brother Robbie from Clacton when were on holiday. It was great to have two kittens. They were always close. The never fought over food and always curled up together. In the many photos we took it was a job to work where one started and one finished.

Sadly Robbie (named after Robert Palmer) died nearly three years ago. Stevie (named after Steven King) obviously missed him but coped without him in the end. We had Stevie for 18 years so he will really be missed. My granddaughter really loved him he only died today so I know she will be upset.

Other Pets

We have only one cat now. Our other cat Smudgie died about three months ago he was a lovely cat and used to follow me around the house.

Rosie is the only cat we have now she is all black and did not always used to be friendly but she has changed over the last three months since Smudgie. died. She sits on my lap now and likes a lot of fuss.

Advice

  • Always give them lots of love
  • Make sure they are in at night.
  • Have a cat flap.
  • Give them a variety of food so they are not too fussy.
  • Always find a capable person to look after them when you are on holiday.
  • Let children love them but under supervision.
  • Preferably have more than one cat for companionship.
