Tell Us About Your Senior Pet

Lucy came to us as a rescue, she had been so badly beaten she could barely walk, she was afraid of men, hoses, sticks balls, shovels pretty much anything. She is now battling cancer but we knew we had to show her what it is like to live in a home where she is loved.

Other Pets

Lucy is one member of our canine pack of 6, 5 boxers and 1 chocolate lab, she also shares the home with a 10 year old Maine Coon. For the most part everyone gets along. Our lab is 10 and she is the alpha dog, we have 4 females and 2 males, they range in age from 6 months to 10 years. Almost all of them were rescued from abuse or shelters. We have been involved in rescue for 18 years and over the last 7 years have really grown fond of the boxer personality. They are such a fun and loving breed. The loyalty of the boxer is amazing.

Advice

  • Love, trust, compassion, loyalty, leadership. Lucy is so sweet and she is my little shadow, my heart will break when the cancer wins this fight.

Janet Tobiassen Crosby, DVM, Veterinary Medicine Guide, says:

Kudos to you for rescuing Lucy and so many grateful animals!
