This diary is a bit different from the other diaries here -- it will be written by the spouse of a vet student. I think that most people will agree: vet school student life is intense. What is life like for those close to the student? How will those long hours spent studying and in clinics affect life at home? Lean is a first year vet student at Kansas State, and her husband Chris will be writting this diary to give viewers a little insight to the life of the vet school spouse.

Perspective of the Spouse
Hi, my name is Chris and my fiancé's name is Leann. I thought it might nice to share the life of a couple starting the first year of vet school and bring the perspective of the spouse into play.
First, let me give a little bit of history. Lean and I are students who got a little later start in life with regards to our education. I am a under graduate working on a degree in geography with a minor in GIS, and Leann is starting her first year of Vet school at Kansas State (GO CATS). We both attended Cal Poly Pomona (GO BRONCO’S) and we obliviously moved to Kansas to attend K-State. We brought with us our two hilariously funny Boxers Oscar and Libby, along with the two horses Vlaminck (AKA Slinky) and Zoe.
OK, that’s enough history for now. The characters have all been introduced and the story is ready to unfold. I hope this will be helpful, insightful, and some what entertaining because in all reality life can be pretty hilarious.
