Suggested ReadingThe Viewer ViewpointFrom Kari Winters Wuffy, the Cat Rescuing DogWuffy, is an 11 year old rescue dog who volunteers with Southern California Siamese Rescue. Yes, you read that right... she's a dog and she works with cats.
Her amazing ability was discovered over 10 years ago when she presented her "dad", Gary A. Rohde, with 4 motherless, unweaned kittens. To his surprise, Wuffy instinctually knew when they needed to be fed; how to stimulate them to go to the bathroom, and when they time came, how to teach them to bathe themselves and eat. The first time this happened, everyone thought it was a cute fluke, but it's now been happening for over 10 years. She's expanded her work to now include sick cats and kittens and cats and kittens who are, shall we say, "personality challenged." Wuffy has worked with hundreds of cats and kittens and has a 100% success rate. She has a waiting list of cats and kittens in need of her loving care and she greets each new challenge with enthusiasm. Wuffy is truly 1 in a million!
