The "Blue Brand" Gets A Make-Over Adams Flea & Tick Control Products Now Easier to Recognize
PHOENIX, Ariz. - (April 6, 2005) Adams(TM) "Blue Brand" Flea & Tick Control products -- the name you know and trust -- has a new, easy-to-recognize look.
The complete line of Adams Flea & Tick Control products has been popular for more than 25 years. To ensure its continued popularity, the line has now been made easier for the customer to identify the different products and their uses.
The Adams line of products will still be in the same blue bottles, but with a new label developed to help consumers distinguish between products for use on pets, in the home, or around the yard.
Adams original Flea & Tick Mist contains pyrethrins in an alcohol-based formula that quickly flushes out and kills fleas and ticks. The mist also contains a coat conditioner and fragrances, and is safe for use on both dogs and cats. The product comes in 16-ounce and 32-ounce spray bottles. Adams original Flea & Tick Shampoo comes in a concentrated formula that provides a rich lather for killing fleas and ticks while cleaning, conditioning and deodorizing the skin and coat. This product comes in 6-ounce, 12-ounce, and gallon size for use on both dogs and cats. Both original Adams family products repel gnats, flies and mosquitoes after use, and now have a red accent on the top of the label for easy recognition.
Adams Flea & Tick Mist with Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) kills fleas and ticks, and eliminates flea eggs to provide 12 weeks of residual protection against immature fleas. This product comes in a 16-ounce and 32-ounce spray bottles, and is for use on dogs and cats. Adams Flea & Tick Shampoo with Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) kills fleas, flea eggs, ticks and lice while it cleans and deodorizes dogs, cats, puppies and kittens alike. This formula comes in a 12-ounce bottle and leaves the animal’s coat clean, shiny and with a sustained release protection that prevents flea eggs from hatching for up to four weeks. It also actively works to eliminate ticks (brown dog ticks and American dog ticks) and lice. Both products with IGR now have a gold accent on the top of the label for quick recognition.
Adams Water-Based Flea and Tick Mist, designed for animals with sensitive skin, contains aloe skin and coat conditioners. This product comes in 16-ounce and 32-ounce spray bottles and provides short-term relief that is quick acting. The top of the label now has a light blue accent to indicate it is for use on pets with sensitive skin.

- Shampoos: Adams Carbaryl Flea & Tick Shampoo with carbaryl is designed for routine cleansing to kill fleas, ticks and lice, while restoring the natural luster of your pet’s coat. The shampoo is for use on both dogs and cats, and has a new label with a pink accent on the top. Adams D-Limonene Flea & Tick Shampoo is an effective flea and tick killer with a non-alkaline formula containing d-Limonene, a botanically-derived insecticide. A superior grooming product for dogs and cats, it contains cleansing agents, lanolin and special conditioners to detangle and condition the coat and leave a fresh, citrus scent. The shampoo has a new label with an orange accent on the top.
- Dips and Dusts: Adams Pyrethrin Dip kills and repels fleas, ticks, lice, gnats, mosquitoes and flies. This product contains a sunscreen, and aloe vera extract and lanolin to condition coats. The dip, suitable for both dogs and cats, has a turquoise accent at the top of the new label. Adams Flea & Tick Dust II is an odorless residual insecticide powder for use on pets and their sleeping quarters to kill fleas, ticks and lice. The dust is for dogs, cats, puppies and kittens over 12 weeks old and has a maroon accent at the top of the label.
- Collars: Adams Flea & Tick Collars provide six-months of protection against fleas and ticks. They come in three sizes: large dog, medium dog, and cat.
