What a lovely gift!

We had just moved into our new house, and my mother had a big open house party to celebrate.  She invited friends, family, co-workers, you name it, they were there.  I've never seen her go all-out for a party like this.  Well, amidst the festivities, we walked into the living room to find one lady knelt down under the christmas tree.  She came back up holding a wad of napkins, and handing it to my mom, said in the most polite voice, "I think the cat left you a little present".  At 11 years old, I was embarassed for my mom!!  Needless to say, the cats are not allowed in the living room any more!
