Sialocele Diagosis
by Laura Peruzzo, Veterinarian

As a Vet, I perfermed the salivary gland surgery when it is neccesary due to a mucocedle or sialocele. One of the diagnostic methods we perform before the surgery , rather than the needle aspiration and the studies of the fluid, is an echography, that helps us to identify the exact gland which is affected so the surgery is easier. With post-surgery therapy, antibiotics, and good drainage, there are no problems after the surgery.
