My
dog Was The Answer

Four
years ago, after losing my job, I was in a terrible psychological state.
Years before that, I had had very bad experiences that made me panic.
When I lost my job, these experiences returned with enhanced strength.
I was not able to deal with the situation. I thought I was becoming
insane. I just could not take my attention off of my problems and that
would not let me see any options. I was in a world of darkness.
My
children asked me to buy a puppy for them. It would be our first dog.
So, we brought home a Weimaraner
female puppy in our pick-up truck. Once in the house, they named her
Almendra (Almond) and she looked at us as if she were saying "I
need some care". I sat with her in the sofa for hours and started
to touch her long ears. She would then look at me. I would look at her
while developing a new sense of love until I was able to focus my attention
on her rather than in my problems.
Peace
returned in a few hours. I was able to sleep and eat again. She is the
instrument My Creator found to answer my prayers. Soon, I found a new
and better job. Some times I talk to her this way: "Almendra, you
are my healing gift from God, Thank you so much".
