Viewpoint Addison's
Disease My little 2 yr old toy poodle became very sick...She had laid around for about 2 days, very listless and sad looking...Not at all her usual self. On the second day, she was in our bed and I picked her up -- she was totally limp but alive. We rushed her to the vet in the middle of the night. He kept her for 2 days finally after sending bodily fluids to the Vet Med School, They decided that she had Addison's Disease. She is now on Sodium Chloride tabs, prednisone, and Florinef...She has totally recovered and will be on this medication the rest of her life...It was a frightening experience that I hope noone else will experience...
