Correct!

The answer is: Diabetes Mellitus

Chronic pancreatic inflammation can lead to scarring and malfunction of the pancreas, and as a result, the hormone insulin is not produced in sufficient amounts. This leads to a disease called Diabetes Mellitus (DM).

Another common condition seen as a result of pancreatitis is pancreatic insufficiency, or maldigestion syndrome. As with DM, the pancreas is diseased and scarred, leading to insufficient amounts of the digestive enzymes amylase and lipase to properly digest foods.
