Here they are, presented in alphabetical order!

Blackie: Male cat - age unknown. Blackie has been with us for six years. He's unflappable and the most friendly with the other cats. A more handsome cat you'll never see.

Ebola: Female Bassett - Age about 28 months. My good wife travels quite a bit around the Snoqualmie valley in her horse training business and really wanted a companion. Ebola came from the purebred rescue league. I was not in favor of the idea, due to the impact it might have on the cats but who could say no to a face like this. In the photo, she is dolled up in flowers for the annual Bassett Bash in Woodinville, WA. She will do anything for a chicken nugget and is currently serving a term as the mayor of the Marymore Park off-leash park. She chases the faster dogs, much to the amazement of the crowd. BTW, my wife calls her Madeline but Ebola is much more amusing at the dog park where Yahoo and Lycos are very common names.

Fatima: Female Cat - age unknown. Another stray. She is kind and gentle and Orson's only friend.

 

Horses: Banjo Malone - 9 year old thoroughbred gelding (left) and Cat Dancing - 12 year old thoroughbred mare (right).

Both of them are unsuccessful racehorses my wife rescued from the knacker man. Banjo has proven to be quite clever and easily trained. He can retrieve named objects from the back of the truck and has a repertoire of a dozen tricks. He can also clear a standard farm gate with yours truly astride - no mean feat. Cat is willful and headstrong. Only the wife can control her and often with difficulty. Although she can also clear a farm gate, she'd rather knock it down.
