INTERDIGITAL PYODERMA
"We thought it may have been an allergy to grasses, etc,
but it still persists after the snow fall. I have treated
them with long term antibiotics, and have been doing betadine
washes followed by Neo-pred. It will clear up for a while,
and then keeps coming back.I would appreciate any suggestions."

SOFTBALL INJURY AND SEIZURES
"I have a 4yr old Pomeranian. He was hit in the head accidently
with a softball last summer. Since then, off and on he will have
what I call seizures, He will flop on the floor but his muscles
tighten up and that causes the flopping. He also shakes, but we
usually pet and comfort him through this and it usually passes in
about 10 to 20 min. He is otherwise fine he still acts like a
puppy. Could this hit on the head cause this and what else can
i do to help him." DOLLARMOM

LOSS OF HEARING IN DOG
"I have a 1 1/2 year old female terrier mix dog, 30lbs. She is
very active and has been treated for separation anxiety, medication
stopped 5 months ago. She has had no infections, no injuries and is
on no medication. About a month ago I started to notice she wasn't
coming to me when I called. I took her to the vet that did the
"drop a box" test on her hearing and she didn't even flinch.
This is so sad to me not to know how or why she suddenly went deaf.
Any ideas?" JAZZMEPOO

DO DOGS CATCH COLDS?
"Our Dachshund puppy (10 months) has a runny nose and some pink
discoloration on her nose. Is this a big deal or do we just wait
it out?" MDZ6E

DEBORAH ANTINORI ON THE RADIO
I recently reviewed an audiobook titled "Journey Through Pet Loss"
by Deborah Antinori, and she has also stopped by and posted in the
forum. Next week, on Tues., Jan 23, 2001, Deborah will be featured
on a live webcast radio show, "Jill & Friends" discussing
her book
and answering questions. Here is more information on the event:
