NEWSLETTER SPOTLIGHT: PETS AND FIREWORKS
It is that time of year...fireworks! :O As many of
you are aware, fireworks can terrify pets. Learn how
to make your pet feel secure, protect your pet from
injury, and how to help reduce the occurrence of
"noise phobias" in the future.

VETMED FORUM: CAT HAS SOMETHING UNDER HER SKIN....
"I have a 4 year old cat with what seemed to be odd behavior.
She will suddenly jump up as if something is attacking her
near the tail - then she jerks her tail and will look at it
as if she never saw it before. Usually when this all happens
she is also rippling her skin - it seems as if something is
under her skin." CTRB1959

PRE_VET FORUM: OFF-SHORE VET SCHOOLS
"I personally do not believe that the vet school attended
determines the ability of a student; it is the students
themselves. The ability to learn and research on one's own
is the deciding factor." Dr. Robert Warren (DRMSU72)

GUIDE EXTRA
- Email "Accident" To Report -
I am embarrassed to say that I had an email mishap last weekend
and lost my email from Saturday the 24th morning to Monday the 26th
morning. :( If you wrote to me and didn't get a response, that
is the reason. I humbly ask anyone who emailed me during that
time to please resend.
- Help Weevil Find His Owner -
Along those same lines, I have a "lost (emailed) dog" here!
I believe that he was to be included in the new pet photo gallery.
Please take a look and see if you know who this adorable dog
belongs to:

My apologies to Weevil and his owner!
- Happy 4th of July -
Hey everyone - time to take a break and have some fun! Please
remember to watch out for pets. Speak up if you see pets left
unattended in cars - you could save a life!
This time of year brings many pets to emergency rooms for
treatment of car accidents, fireworks-related accidents,
heat stroke, and other injuries. Stay safe and have fun.
