NEWSLETTER SPOTLIGHT - PREVENT PET POISONINGS

It can be difficult at times to tell if a pet has been
poisoned, and by what. By pet-proofing your home and
developing good observational skills, you will be better
prepared to prevent a poisoning tragedy.

FROM THE FORUM - I'M HAVING VET PROBLEMS!

"Hi, I took a 7 month old Newfoundland puppy to my Vet
due to weight loss. She told me it was cancer and said
she had to put him to sleep. I did not agree to this
and asked her to wake him up so I could take him to
another Vet, she refused. I asked 3 times for her to
wake him and she said it would be too cruel, so she put
him to sleep without my permission or signature. I just
want to know if this is legal, and if other Vets would
do the same thing?" COWGIRLUP_4U

FROM THE FORUM - SALIVATING LAB

"I have a 3 year old yellow lab and every time she gets around
a group of dogs she begins to salivate abundantly...drool
dripping from her mouth. The first time it happened I thought
maybe the group of dogs we were around were sickly, but she
was fine after we left. It's happened a few times now. Could
it just be that she is excited? Any ideas?" DUSTY97
