Last year, this site participated in the Pet 'Net adoption focus. I contributed the Online Pet Adoption Guide for that event.
This year, the focus is on pet safety. This is the second annual online event. Last year we had 12 participants, this year features 25 sites from around the Internet with the common goal of spreading the word on how to keep our pets safe around the house, as we travel, and in all kinds of weather.
This year, I have created a large collection of pet safety tips and alerts for food/ingestion toxicities, summer health hazards and winter pet care tips. I am joined by the Cats and Dogs Guides representing About.com for this event.
- Veterinary Medicine: Pet Safety Tips and Alerts
Household hazards, toxins, poisonous foods, hot and cold weather safety tips. - Cats: Cat safe homes, Halloween safety, Disaster preparedness
Stay safe in the home, on Halloween and be prepared for your cats. - Dogs: Travel Safely with Your Dog
Traveling with your dog can be an enjoyable bonding experience, but safety should be top priority.
From the Pet 'Net press release:
Petside.com has organized a consortium of some of the Web's favorite pet-focused sites to launch the Pet 'Net Safety Event on Wednesday, October 21. On this date, each participating site and weblog will highlight content devoted to the important topic of pet safety, with Petside.com hosting a comprehensive one-page Pet 'Net Safety Event hub with links to all of the special coverage.

I like the story of the balding dog Joey. Indeed, it comes as a surprise for me as well after I have read the cause of the hair loss on him. I have a dog name bobo who is also in a similiar condition. Now I better check whether what my vet has prescribed is actually causing the problem..
Thanks
