Career Choices: Discouraged, but Hopeful

Thursday July 17, 2008
From the Pre Vet / Career forum - DREAM2HEAL writes: "I'm taking the long and narrow road to becoming a vet and I need all the encouragement I can get. I'm 30 and I have a BA in psychology, but my GPA is low and I graduated by the skin of my teeth. I just wanted to get out and work, make money, get engaged, and have a home. In my deep depression, I took on a job as a dog bather and even though I was getting paid minimum wage, I was happy. I had to hit bottom to realize that I had to reunite with my first love -- animals."
