2008 Cat Writer's Contest: More Than $12K in the Kitty

Sometimes, it pays to be catty. At least according to the Cat Writer's Association (CWA). This year, they are offering more than $12,000 in price money for the 15th annual Communications Contest for professional writers, broadcasters, photographers and graphic artists who showcase their talents using feline subjects.

People who are interested in participating in the contest to not need to be a member of the CWA. Arden Moore, contest chair, does recommend joining this professional group though, as the CWA works to improves the lives of cats. Membership is also great way to network with other professionals who favor felines.

Rules and entry forms are available at CWA’s website or by sending a self-addressed stamped business-size envelope to contest chair Arden Moore, 2851 Todd Street, Oceanside, CA 92054. Entries must be postmarked no later than July 1, 2008.
