Headed to the Westminster Dog Show!
I am excited to announce that I will be attending the 132nd Westminster Dog Show in New York City this February 11th and 12th! I will be working with the About.com Guide to Dogs, Krista Mifflin, to provide coverage for About.com. Many exciting things are in the works, including interviews with dog handlers, competition judges and other interesting attendees at this well-known contest of the top dogs from around the world.
I am working on story ideas and questions to ask during interviews. Do you have questions about this show? The dogs? The people who show them? Please click on the the "comments" link or contact me directly to suggest a question or idea. Not all questions can be answered, of course, but if a topic is article-worthy for this site, I will add it to the site after the show.

Hopeful at Westminster

Congratulations! I’v always wanted to go to the Westminster Dog Show. I write a blog called Dog Art Today and I’m especially interested in the artists displaying their work there. Are there stalls of art in competition at Madison Square Garden? Or is it more of an art fair atamostphere? Is the art intermixed with the dogs and breeders “back stage” or in a separate place already? What kind of art is most popular? Who was your favorite artist? Any insight would be great! Have a wonderful time!!
Hi Moira-
Great question! Art is very near and dear to me, and I will definitely include this topic of “dog related art” if I find anything to report on at the show. your dog art blog is a great resource of artful dogs! Thanks for the comment.
