SCONANT30 asks: "I need a quick way to rid my dog of fleas. Any suggestions for a quick and easy way to end this problem for good? My goal is to be rid of them by Christmas as we are visiting family and I would rather not bring these pesky critters into their homes."

I have not had fleas for over 20 years. Even our vet tries to find them on our dogs (2) and cats (13). We sprinkle 20 Mule Team borax on our carpets, leave for two or three hours. Broom in then vacuum. You can also use plain borax powder.

This not only kills fleas, but any other bug you get into your house, except spiders. It does not hurt the animals or the humans that live in the house. although, I do close off the rooms one by one and keep the animals out while the white powder is heavy on the carpets.

I hope this helps you.

I have a small Pekingnese. In the summer he would get fleas big time. I put a garbage bag over him and tied it loosely with yarn around his neck. I then poked a hole in the side of the bag and sprayed inside with flea spray. Then I held the hole closed for about 10 minutes. Next I gave him a bath. It got all the fleas.
