(1) Kris says:

My bitch is now on the 67th day of her pregnancy.

She is not distressed, no drop in temperatuer, she is eating, and would appear perfectly well.

However, she has been both x-rayed and scanned, – two different answers from 2 different vets. One says the puppies were small without skeletons (at 7.5 weeks of pregnancy), the other said nothing abnormal (63 days of pregnancy).

I’m worried sick!

Please advise what I should do if labour does not start.

Thanks,

Kris

my dachshund bitch always goes to her 70 th day with no adverse affects. I also used to breed german shepherd dogs and one of those went to her 72 nd day and produced 14 live puppies, all of which I reared. If nothing is amiss then leave nature to it self, she will whelp when she is ready

I have a dog in heat and my Male ended up getting her by mistake and I want to know if their heat cycle stops if they are pregnant or will the cycle finish? Also, are the number of pups by how many times they breed during a heat cycle? Any advice, appreciated.
