Second Mad Cow Case In The US Confirmed

UK laboratory confirms that a second cow in the United States had Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE). It is unknown at this time where the cow originated from or what other animals may have been exposed. The first confirmed US case of BSE was in December 2003, and was a cow imported from Canada.
