Pet Paws and Snow Melt Salts

Wednesday February 4, 2004
SKICHICKME asks: "I am looking for information regarding the salt product that melts snow. It is my understanding that the product containing... something I can't remember at the moment... is harmful for dogs paws to step on. A friend mentioned a product I could use in the same rock salt form and melts ice also -- water softner tablets. Does anyone know if that is harmful?"
